Riverside Physiotherapy
As of July 2018 Sarah Lyons purchased the business from the original owner Lynn Faulkner (EST, 1993). Since then Sarah has continued to provide the excellent and personal customer service the company is renowned for.

Riverside Physiotherapy is conveniently located opposite the major shopping complex in Riverside and short 4 minute drive from Launceston CBD. Our team are highly qualified, experienced and eager to help people achieve their goals. We offer a comprehensive range of physiotherapy techniques and services designed to optimise your movement and quality of life.

We have a strong relationship with an array of local doctors, medical centres, private hospitals, aged care facilities and private health funds. The team also have strong connections with local sporting clubs in football, netball, basketball, swimming and running.

We have a strong professional interest in sports injury management and rehabilitation whilst still providing exceptional service to chronic pain, spinal pain/injuries, pre and post surgery, acute pain, workers compensation, MAIB, exercise prescription and headache management and treatment.

No Referral from a doctor is required to see a Physiotherapist, unless your booking as a part of Motor Accident or Workers compensation claim or covered through the DVA or EPC programs available.

About our Team

Sarah Lyons

Sarah Lyons is the current owner and lead physiotherapist of the practice. Sarah moved to Victoria to study at LA Trobe University, graduating with a Bachelor of Health Sciences and a Master of Physiotherapy Practice in 2013. Sarah has a professional interest in working with athletes and sporting injuries, in particular knee injuries. Sarah is known for providing exceptional and professional service to her clients and focuses on the impact the injury/pain has on the patients quality of life on a broad spectrum.

Outside of work Sarah enjoys an array of sports, she is involved with Launceston lemmings (swimming club), plays basketball, football, touch football and netball (both plays and coaches). Sarah also donates her time to St Patrick’s football club as a sports trainer and enjoys helping sports team’s when she can.

Lauren Young

Lauren recently moved to Riverside Physiotherapy in January 2019. Lauren undertook her studies at the University of Sydney graduating in 2013 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy). Lauren prides herself on her ability to get you active and moving in a pain free and comfortable manner providing you with an array of exercises and techniques you can apply everyday to ensure your body is always at its peak.

Outside of work Lauren is very passionate about animals and enjoys looking after and riding her horses. She is also studying physio and rehab for dogs and applies this in her spare time. She also enjoys water skiing and spending time with her family.

Donna Lack

Donna is the face of our company. Our friendly and passionate receptionist that greets every with a warm smile as they enter the practice. Donna has many years of experience working with various companies in Launceston and is focussed on making everyone feel warm and welcome while they are with us.

Emily Gunton

Emily works every Monday on front reception. She is from a hospitality background and has great people skills. She loves a good laugh and is a very friendly face as you walk in the door.
